Oboe

Private oboe lessons, held in Goleta. Adelle studied oboe with Anne Anderson and Carl Sonik, earned a Master of Music in oboe performance from UCLA, and has taught oboe at Westmont College and UCSB.

Piano

Private piano lessons, held in Goleta. Adelle studied piano with Lana Bodnar and Marilyn Clemons, and earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Pedagogy, magna cum laude, from Wheaton Conservatory.

Suzuki training

Adelle is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and takes Suzuki pedagogy courses in the summer.

Adelle Rodkey

Adelle Rodkey grew up in Santa Barbara, studying oboe with Anne Anderson and piano with Lana Bodnar and Marilyn Clemons. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Pedagogy, magna cum laude, from Wheaton Conservatory, studying oboe with Carl Sonik, and a Master of Music in oboe performance from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, where she is continuing graduate study with Jonathan Davis. She has taught oboe at Westmont College and UCSB, is listed among Westmont's active woodwind instructors, and is Director Emeritus of the Santa Barbara Music Club. She has appeared as a soloist with the UCLA Symphony and the Roanoque Baroque ensemble.
